In my daily life, I find a lot of beauty blogs to be inspirational. Every day they experiment with various products, but each time they wash, they harm the ocean more and more. They appear to be unaware of the plastic in cosmetic substances, though, and are concentrating on the ingredients in skin care products that work while neglecting the ones that don't. The ocean is similar to the human body since both are 70 percent water, according to our teacher, who also mentioned that the planet and the human body are both encased in plastic. How uneasy will it be for the ocean to "wear makeup" for more than ten years if humans find wearing makeup uncomfortable on a daily basis?

So that you can see the plastic components in cosmetics, allowing you to instinctively be aware of the harm that plastic cosmetic packaging does to the ocean. I decided to use the face as a representation of the world and apply makeup to it in order to demonstrate that cosmetics genuinely include plastic that is beyond our comprehension. Of course, we want to raise environmental consciousness among everyone on Earth and spread the word about eco-friendly products in order to save the marine environment. To convey our fundamental concept, we sketched an oceanic scene.

For females, wearing makeup is a highly regular and enjoyable activity. Some girls regularly apply sunscreen. Girls who are worried about tanning will use sunscreen all over their bodies when they are swimming. If you want to snap photographs at the lovely beach, many individuals will already have you made up.

However, these seemingly unremarkable items contain various micro plastics that are slowly impacting marine life. This incident is also taking place. I'm a beauty blogger, and today I'm going to create an ocean-inspired look with my standard foundation makeup and blue eyeshadow. When I returned to reality after doing my makeup in the mirror as usual, I saw that the makeup had harm

Makeup design:

Our main color tone is blue to present a sense of ocean. The eye makeup part uses a wave like appearance to represent the waves, and the shiny part represents plastic. We want to demonstrate that there is plastic in the ocean. The characters inside wearing blue contact lenses to show a feeling of aquatic creatures. After switching, many plastic pieces appeared on the faces of the characters inside, which we wanted to demonstrate that most cosmetics contain microplastics and their harm to the human body. We want to use a comparison like this to make people aware that cosmetics contain a large amount of plastic and can cause significant pollution to the ocean.

some cosmetics are over packaged and discarded into the ocean. It is difficult to decompose.

Hypothesis and resources:

For the consumers who have the sense of nature conservation and also have the needs of putting up make-up, inventing cosmetics which are environmentally friendly will be a win-win solution. For our solution, we need to first educate the public and them more aware of ocean conservancy. Moreover, we can invent new materials to build up a whole new brand of cosmetic which don’t contain micro plastic and pollution.

When we first learnt about this subject, we considered how cosmetics might pollute the ocean. We picked this issue because, while not receiving much attention, it is a critical one. So, with the help of our initiative, we hope to increase public awareness of this problem. The lack of internet research is due in part to the fact that this problem is not well acknowledged. This has made our initial preparatory work much more challenging. Before integrating and explaining them, we cited several publications, statistics, and graphics in both Chinese and English.

We ultimately decided on the creative makeup approach because we wanted to highlight the link between cosmetics and plastics in a unique way. To depict the presence of plastic in the waves, our makeup is mostly blue in color and has waves, diamonds, etc. The makeup was then given a giant plastic piece, which made the entire makeup seem worse and illustrated how plastic pollution affects the ocean. We also put a lot of work into prior preparation because the cosmetics used for creative makeup are not generally utilized. We first looked for brands and colors that would work online, then we discovered stores where we could buy them.

'With grace and elegance, it paints a radiant trail, Leaving whispers of its presence, a celestial veil. A shooting star's descent, a gift from realms unknown, A momentary spectacle, in the cosmic vastness sown.

It whispers tales of ancient worlds, of dreams and hopes anew, Of mysteries untangled, and wonders to pursue. It dances with the planets, as they spin in cosmic glee, A dazzling interlude, for all the eyes to see.'

Welcome to a comet made out of microscopic plastic particles used in cosmetics. White holes, dark matter, and meteors that were constantly altering caused the comet's button to be switched on.

Inspiration of our logo

Our logo is made up of a cosmetic bottle containing contaminated sea water, mutated fish and bits of colorful plastic. Cosmetics are the object of our study, polluted sea water and mutated fish are the harm of cosmetic plastic to the ocean. The colored pieces of plastic represent all kinds of plastic waste.

STORY BEHIND STAGES

BY Selina JU

Blue is the predominant color we use for cosmetics.and to represent the plastic in the waves, we have waves, diamonds, etc. in our makeup.
We arranged the props and changed the lighting the day before filming to have everything ready. select appropriate music for filming. In order to better our work and make its fundamental concept more obvious, we also sought out many people's thoughts when editing.
